Yes I have, when I accidentally took 6 Nurofen in the space of an hour! The nurse I spoke to was great and reassured me I wasn't going to die!

Hi Snowy.
I did (or my "late" Mum did) when I had a bad fall at home and they were useless.
Take care.

On the less positive side, my sister in law used them when she hurt her back a year or so ago. She was told to 'take a couple of anti-inflammatories and she should be okay in an hour'. She lost all feeling below her waist and my brother called an ambulance. She'd slipped a disc and had to use a wheelchair for a week.

They just told us to go to casualty so was a waste of time really but I suppose they can,t take chances, you can't make a proper diagnosis over the phone, for example Jo's sister in law. I hope she's ok now. It must be quite difficult sometimes.

Yeah, she's fine now Titch. She used to be a nurse so bad backs are an occupational hazard for her.

I remember when we were on holiday and Aidan was eating some fruit. Then his lip started to swell and his face. It was awful it was like anaphylactic shock, I was so frightened. Luckily for mobile phones we called for an ambulance. It was a frightening time, I had never been so frightened by the time the ambulance had arrived is face was completely swollen. He had to have facial oxygen, and the ambulance whizzed him to hospital. He was O.K. eventually but it was awful to watch.
