Just thought I'd let everyone know that I'm going to be starting some voluntary work in the next few weeks with the Bedford branch of Livability (a disability charity) in their office. I'm really looking forward to this as it will get me out of the house for a couple of days a week and help me mix with different people. It will also be something else to add to my CV.

LOL! Thanks, Twinkle! I have been promised copious amounts of tea while I'm there and they've even said they'll provide me with lunch, so I'll be well looked after. A cuppa will be nice when I get home, though.

Well, my first afternoon at my voluntary job went very well! I spent the afternoon inputting some information into a database. I found out that I'm going to be able to help design some flyers for social events that Livabiity hold for their members and I will also be helping to update their members list. I may not be needed to go in every week, but I've said I'll help as much as I can.

Jo, that's reat news, well done you! If you make yourself indispenisble to them, they'll be sure to involve you more.. charities always have work that needs doing, whatever it is, and usually can't get enough help, so go for it... make it your own!

I'm going to be doing some more voluntary office work with Livability next Thursday afternoon. This time they want me to design some flyers for their upcoming AGM. Hopefully the Social Space business cards will be sent out with these as well.

Up until last year i had been volunteering my services for 20yrs, 10 with Age Concern and 10yrs with Victim Suport/Witness Service,. The pleasures of doing such a worth while ''job'' helping the ''elderly'' and ''supporting victims'' is second to none,.
