What was the last book that you read? I've just finished reading 'As You Do', the new book by Richard Hammond. It's very funny! :)

I've just read the book 'Broken' by Shy Keenan. Shy was just 4 years old when she was sexually and physically abused by her father, mother, and family friends. The abuse continued throughout her childhood until she ran away from home in her late teens. She is now an advocate for children who are experiencing the same awful fate and campaigns for tougher punishments for paedophiles.

This book is definitely the most harrowing book I've ever read, but I couldn't put it down. I would definitely recommend it, although it is very upsetting to read.

It goes to prove that her father may have destroyed her childhood,but he never destroyed her spirit,and for her to go out into the world and help others, just goes to prove that he did 'not' win!....
