Hi, all recently found this site and it looks pretty good, doe's anyone know the rules regarding assistance in a shop? I am disabled. 5 h,attacks, stents, then a 4x bypass, arthiritis in most joints,COPD,few other ailments, but I do not display the fact that I have disablities, ie; wear a badge I recently asked for assistance in a supermarket, to load 12bags of soil and was refused, yes ..refused assistance:( because I refused to show any proof that I was disabled, I do carry my heart card, and inhalers,I then returned to the shop with my wife , who is also disabled but uses a crutch 24/7, and she was given assistance without question be interesting to hear replies on this ?:) thanks trand

If I were you I'd write a letter to the manager of the supermarket explaining what happened and asking them what their policy is on assisting disabled customers.
