I've recently taken delivery of a new powerchair (an Otto Bock B400) and I'm so impressed with it I thought I'd write a review as I would highly recommend it to anyone who is thinking about getting a powerchair.

This is my third powerchair and I can honestly say it's the best one I've ever had. Wheelchair Services provided me with it and a physio and a technician came and customised it to suit my needs (very easily with a few alun keys!).

It's a smart, sturdy chair that, at top speed of 4.47 mph, certainly doesn't take any prisoners! In other words, it's fast! We're talking the supercar of the wheelchair world here!

Optional extras include footrests that raise and lower automatically, a swing-away control panel which enables the user to get close to desks and tables, and it can be fitted with lights for night driving! A standard feature on the chair is that the backrest tilts if necessary and the tension of the backrest adjusts with the pull of a few straps to give the user firm back support if needed.

A rather nifty feature of the B400 is that if it is left switched on for any longer than 5 minutes it switches itself off, thus preventing the chair from losing power.

I love this chair and look forward to many years of happy trips out in it.
